Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast

As a member of the Bed & Breakfasts of the Pikes Peak Area, the Avenue Hotel Bed and Breakfast located in Manitou Springs is one of the unique lodging accommodations  to choose from in the Colorado Springs area. With summer upon us it is time to "Get Back To Manitou" The leaves are bright and green. the days are warm and long. At the Avenue Hotel B&B we strive to make our home  beautiful for our guest, both inside and out! Our garden has grown wonderfully this summer, much like the rest of the surrounding area. It is a lovely place to sit back and relax the morning away. Large spacious guest rooms with private baths.
The Avenue Hotel B&B is nestled perfectly in an outdoor mecca. We are surrounded by numerous trails and mountains.
The Intemann Trail is an urban-access trail that goes along Red Mountain and Iron Mountain. First envisioned by Paul Intemann and carried out by friends and admires after his death, the Intemann Trail is considered an easy hike that brings you to Red Mountain Trail and breath taking views of Manitou Springs and it's surrounding areas

One of the biggest draws to the area is Pikes Peak. After first being recorded by Zebulon Pike on his 1806-1807 expedition, Pikes Peak has become one of the most visited mountains. There are hiking trails and there is also the world famous Cog Railroad to the top. Just a reminder though, if you plan on catching the Cog make sure to make your reservations well ahead of time, especially during the summer season. Also it is on average 50-60 degrees colder at the top then it is down here so we recommend a sweater or jacket.

Cave of the Winds is a popular destination. When you think of Cave of the Winds it might not be the first outdoor activity you think of because it is technically underground. New this year however is the Wind Walker Challenge Course, a rope course, and the Bat-a-Pult, a zip line through Williams Canyon that actually pulls you back up to where you began! Neither are for the faint of heart but for those adventurous souls out there this is simply perfect. For those who want to beat the heat the Caves are the place to be, they stay at a almost constant 54 degrees. The Garden of the Gods is world famous for its beauty. It is a wonderful hike or drive, or you can even experience the Garden by horseback. They have numerous programs all year long.
